Your Story, Your Glory - Recognizing Unsung Heroes

Since its inception in 2015, the NAR Foundation has been relentlessly dedicated to societal development. Over the years, we've received numerous awards and featured in the media over 50 times - a testament to our commitment to making a difference in the lives of many.

However, amid our journey, we realized that there are countless heroes among us whose remarkable achievements go unnoticed. Their inspiring stories often remain hidden, overshadowed by the glitz and glamour that sometimes dominates our collective attention. To address this, we proudly introduce our latest initiative, "Your Story, Your Glory."

Meet Rintu Kalyani Rathod - The Chocolate Ganesha Maker

Rintu Kalyani Rathod, a name synonymous with creativity, compassion, and change, has an inspiring story that's been hidden in plain sight. Her childhood in the vibrant city of Rajkot, Gujarat, was filled with love and privilege. She was the youngest among four siblings, and her parents recognized her talents early on, guiding and supporting her throughout her journey.

Rintu's educational path took her to the prestigious Faculty of Fine, MS University, where she pursued a degree in commercial design. She further honed her skills by obtaining a master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, earning a gold medal for her excellence. But her pursuit of knowledge didn't stop there. At the age of 47, she embarked on a new path, dedicating four and a half years to become a naturopathy doctor.

The Birth of Chocolate Ganesha: An Eco-Friendly Revelation

Rintu's journey took an extraordinary turn when she witnessed the aftermath of Ganesh Visarjan, where the beaches were strewn with broken idols and rotting offerings. A Ganesha devotee and an environmentally conscious soul, she couldn't stand by and do nothing. This moment marked the birth of the "Chocolate Ganesha" concept.

Instead of the traditional Plaster of Paris (POP) idols, Rintu crafted Ganesha idols from chocolate, immersing them in milk. The chocolate milk became a delicious and symbolic Prasad for hundreds of underprivileged children in Mumbai. This ingenious idea not only saved the environment from toxic materials but also brought smiles to countless faces.

The Food Army: A Culinary Crusade

Rintu Kalyani Rathod's impact extends beyond Chocolate Ganesha. She is also the founder of the "Food Army," a group committed to providing home-cooked food to victims of natural calamities, along with essential supplies like first-aid kits and clothing. Remarkably, this is done without involving any monetary transactions.

The Food Army's efforts have reached far and wide. They've provided support to flood victims in Kashmir, earthquake survivors in Nepal, flood victims in Gujarat, and many more. Currently, they're also involved in a plastic recycling project, employing deserving women to make mattresses from recycled plastic waste for the homeless.
